Guided visit to the Museum of Photographie in Nice with simultaneous translation into English. Stunning collection of 80 photographs - no fakes, no trickery - just an instant in time, suspended between earth and sky. Come and be amazed by the creativity of Mathieu Forget, artist, dancer, photographer, taken during a ten year period of travelling all over the world. You cannot fail to be intrigued.

Visit to The Monaco Palace And Temporary Exhibition
“Wedding of the Century"

Join us for a private guided tour in English of the Palace, the highlight of which includes the temporary exhibition "Wedding of the Century", to borrow the phrase coined by the press at the time. The exhibition takes visitors on a journey via "photographs, moving images, audio recordings, jewellery, dresses, gifts, and previously unseen archives, .... to discover the key figures, locations, highlights, and behind-the-scenes moments of a week of festivities—organised in just three months—from the spectacular welcome of Grace Kelly on the morning of 12 April to the royal couple’s departure on their honeymoon on the evening of the 19th."

We will meet up outside the main entrance to the Palace at 10.45 at the latest. The palace website states that as it is an historic building, there is no wheelchair access (access via stairs only).

For those who wish to stay on for lunch we will find a restaurant nearby. When registering please tick box if you would like to join for lunch or not so that we have an indication of numbers.
Lunch cost NOT included in tour and must be paid for individually.

Train: Arrival at Monaco station:
Option 1 - walking, take the exit marked Fontvieille/Rocher, a 2 km walk taking around 20 minutes.
Option 2 - Bus, exit the station direction the Port, the bus stop is at Pont Ste Devote. SNCF bus lines 1 and 2 will take you up to the palace.

A beautiful venue awaits you above Grasse with spectacular views across the rolling landscape to the Bay of Cannes. New member and professional singer Suzi Jameson is kindly inviting you into her home to enjoy lunch and live music. Here is her personal invitation:

"A warm welcome awaits you for a Pot Luck Luncheon on October 1st, 2026 at my home. Share your favorite dish, enjoy wonderful company and beautiful views, and let me end the afternoon with a few songs at the piano."

There is ample free parking across the road from her gate or along the orange wall that edges her property.
Carpooling is recommended, where possible, organized between members themselves.
Access: As there are several steps this is sadly not an event for reduced mobility members.

A Humanitarian Voyage to Ukraine
Lorna tells us her story

Lorna Hawthorne, a school friend of mine, tells you about this humanitarian voyage and the dangers. The Speaker event is followed by lunch in the Hotel.

Lorna's own words:
"Why would I be driving an ambulance - to take to Ukraine of course! A big birthday made me wonder how to celebrate, and what better way? Having Ukrainian friends and colleagues has made this war more personal so I decided to do something practical to help".

Medical Life Lines Ukraine buy ambulances that are equipped and still functional but have been financially written off in the UK. We overhaul them and ensure they are in good working order. Filled with medical equipment and supplies, they are driven across the Poland-Ukraine border by volunteers.

Lunch is a set Menu: 2 Courses, Entree + Plat + Coffee Gourmande.
