If you enjoy gardening then join this group which offers the opportunity to visit gardens large and small and other things of interest to gardeners.
The garden of the Château de Gourdon is a haven of green in the hot summer months, with beautiful views over the valley of the river Loup. It was designed by André Le Nôtre (designer of the gardens at Versailles) and contains an Italian garden, a herb garden and Provençal garden, all with sculptured box hedges to add interest. It is surrounded by the spectacular mountain scenery which forms the backdrop to the Château. Lunch can be arranged after the visit at one of the nearby restaurants.
Please reserve by email if possible and tell Angela if you would like to stay to lunch at the same time. Details of where to meet and at what time will be sent to you nearer the date.
A discount of up to 10 per cent on some garden items is available to Club members on showing the current membership card at the Nova Jardins, Opio.
